Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge

The Coronado Multi-Protocol Bridge has been designed for businesses that require S3, Windows File Share, NFS or FTP Access to cloud storage. The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge accelerates and/or translates S3 and file based protocols into cloud storage using an optional hi-speed disk cache. This cache will store HTML data locally helping reduce user latency while background threads move the data into the cloud storage. The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge is ideal as a NAS or File Server replacement for user collaboration or backup applications that require fast transfers to archive data into cloud storage. All that is required is the bucket/blob credentials and the endpoint address of the storage device. Simple to Install, the Multi-Protocol Bridge may be deployed in less than 30-minutes.

The Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge is highly integrated with Active Directory adding user authentication and access control ACL's to your cloud storage environment. All users or current applications may use a simple drive letter from Windows or Linux/Unix environments to easily read or write to cloud storage while newer S3 Applications may also read/write to the same files.

Enhanced Veeam & Backup Support

The BridgeSTOR Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge has been developed on the Linux CentOS 7 operating system, which allows Veeam and other backup applications to place propriety software agents inside the appliance. These agents use internal proprietary protocols and typically out perform SMB or NFS protocols. The Veeam agent accepts backup data and believes it's writing to a standard Linux drive while it's actually writing to a CSFS volume which will transport all data directly into the Cloud Storage achiving fast accelerated backup and recovery.

Mutli-Protocol Support

The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge supports S3, SMB, NFS and SFTP protocols which allow S3 or existing applications to easily access cloud storage. The BridgeSTOR Global View Manager allows all applications to access cloud data anywhere in the world with a single namespace.

Active Directory Integration

The Coronado Multi-Site Cloud Bridge fully integrates with Microsoft Active Directory not only for user authentication but also full file based ACL control. Additional REST API's are available to integrate S3 applications into Active Directory extending S3 applications into existing environments.

Reduced Latency

The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge using it's internal Hi-Speed Cache to reduce latency to Cloud Storage. Once data has been successfully written to disk a successful response is immediately returned to the application while background threads send data directly to the Cloud Storage. All reads are returned from the Hi-Speed Cache allowing for fast recovery while saving cloud recovery costs.

ProtectedCloud™ Security

The Coronado Multi-Site Cloud Bridge provides XTS AES-256-bit Military Grade Encryption. All data is encrypted prior to being sent over the wire and saved encrypted in the cloud. XTS encryption is a sophisticated multi-key encryption which extends the AES industry standard. With XTS, the Administrator creates and maintains the encryption key while the second key is generated by an internal algorithm. Both keys are never stored in the cloud storage or by BridgeSTOR.

Hi-Speed Disk Cache

The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge allows frequently accessed files to be kept on a local disk cache for accelerated cloud access removing user latency allowing the cloud storage to seem local. The most accessed files are also kept longer in the cache, allowing quick recovery and reduced storage access fees. BridgeSTOR does not charge for disk caching and the disk cache size and disk type (SSD or SATA) may also be defined by the Administrator.

Version Control

The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge supports file versioning by automatically moving all deleted and modified files to a Global Recycle Bin. The Recycle Bin is exported to Windows Explorer allowing users to easily recovery files with Microsoft Previous Versions. NFS users may easily navigate the Recycle Bin with standard tools to locate and recover files.

Data Reduction Features

Data Reduction is a powerful disk savings by reducing the amount of data transferred and the amount of storage saved in the cloud storage. The Coronado Multi-Site Bridge may be configured to use Single File Instance and/or Compression. Single File Instance tracks duplicate files in the Cloud Storage and will keep only one copy and combined with file based compression will traditionally yield up to a 30% savings on cloud storage. Both features are optional as some data does not compress or the overhead for the savings is not acceptable for day to day processing.

Management

The Coronado Multi-Site Cloud Bridge includes a easy set it and forget it web based GUI compatible with all industry standard web browsers. Remote Desktop is also implemented allowing Administrators to easily access and manage the appliances

Virtual Machine Support

The Coronado Multi-Protocol Cloud Bridge is shipped standard as Virtual Machines and are available for VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, Linux KVM and Amazon AMI's.
